Consultation, Design, and Installation

Landscape Consultation

Our consultations usually consist of a two hour site visit and a follow-up email, and are focused on the specific needs of each client. Some possible objectives include:

A partial botanical inventory, which could include identifying native and other ecologically important tree, shrub, and herbaceous species on the property, as well as invasive species.

Evaluation of light, moisture, and soil conditions that will inform planting choices.

Discussion of priorities for the land, and some basic ideas for how to achieve them. These priorities may include:

-wildlife support

-edible plantings

-erosion control

-flowers and fall foliage

-plantings for privacy

Siting of trees, shrubs, gardens, or meadows

Recommendations of some specific plants, including native plants to replace invasive species
